Bill was lifelong member of the Etchells class and dedicated to advancing the class locally for Fleet 7 in Detroit and Bayview Yacht Club. Bill sailed in many World, North American and Great lakes regattas over his 30 year career.

Boats are available to charter from the UK fleet and a company called SHB has been located that will hire 4x4 vehicles to tow them with prices for the cars varying from £150 to £270 per week, and you can use the car as personal transport for the regatta, or drivers are available for around £750 each way.  For futher details from members of the UK Fleet who can help with container shipping or charters, contact Sherri at the Etchells Class office and we'll make the connection for you.
