IECA Class Rules updated

The approved rules changes have now been incorporated into the class rules and go into effect March 1, 2013.  One exception is the member approved addition of a maximum anchor and tow line diameters.  This was NOT approved by ISAF and has not been included in the latest rules document.

2013 AUS - NSW and VIC Championships

Dovetailing in nicely from the recent Etchells Australian Championship in Perth comes firstly the NSW and then Victorian State titles. Michael Manford, Dean McAullay and Nicholas Gray won the national title in one of the first Etchells to come out of the new mould that the Australian Association and builder, Phil Smidmore, have developed.

RYA and UK Etchells Class Association continue partnership for young keelboat talents

Young aspiring keelboat racers are to be given a chance to apply for season-long access to a number of fully race-prepared 30ft Etchells keelboats, thanks to the continuation of a partnership between RYA Racing and the UK Etchells Class Association into the 2013 racing season.

2013-2014 International Governing Council Election

The election deadline has passed and the votes have been counted.  The following ten people have been elected as voting members of the IGC for the next two years: Chris Busch, Shannon Bush, Argyle Campbell, Gary Gilbert, Jake Gunther, Dirk Kneulman, Peter Mc Neill, Noel Paterson, Tim Patton and David Ritchard.
